Biden likely to Declare US Health Emergency on Monkeypox

A health emergency declaration is said to be possible this weekend. But it is learned that the decision is not finalised.

It has been reported that the Joe Biden administration is planning to declare a health emergency as the outbreak of measles in the United States reaches its peak.

In the months since the first case of measles in the United States, the total number of cases has been reported at 4,639.

Following this, the Joe Biden administration is set to declare a public health emergency. Thus, the Department of Health and Human Services can access adequate funding and hire more staff to address this issue.

The monkeypox infection was first confirmed on May 17 in a traveler returning from Canada to Massachusetts.

Currently, 1,228 people in New York, 799 in California, 385 in Illinois, and 332 in Florida have been confirmed to be infected.

Typically, people with mumps have fever, swollen lymph nodes, headaches, and muscle aches.
