An Indian living in the United Arab Emirates has won $ 1 million in the latest Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Lucky Draw Contest held on Wednesday at the Concourse C of Dubai International Airport. It is worth about Rs 7.5 crore in India.
Riyaz Kamaluddin, a 50-year-old Indian living in Abu Dhabi, became the winner of the $ 1 million Millennium Millionaire Series 391 Lucky Draw contest on May 27 with ticket number 4330 purchased online.
The raffle is like a lottery ticket. When purchasing a number of tickets included, prizes will be available to those who select in the draw mode. At a given time, the tickets selected in the lucky draw mode will be checked and the ticket holder will win the prize.
Kamaluddin, who has been a regular contributor to Dubai Duty Free for 15 years, bought the ticket with six of his colleagues and friends. Kamaluddin, who has lived in Abu Dhabi for 25 years, is the father of two children. He works for an airline.
“I’m been buying tickets for the last 15 years. We’ve constantly testing our luck, and finally we’ve won! Thank God, thanks to Dubai Duty Free!” He said happily.
Kamaluddin is the 191st Indian to win the first prize since the launch of the Millennium Millennium Promotion in 1999. It is noteworthy that Indians make up the largest number of Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire ticket buyers.
The Millennium Millionaire Lucky Draw Contest was followed by the Finest Surprise Lucky Draw Competition for three luxury vehicles. In it, Mohamed Askori, a 36-year-old Algerian living in Dubai, won the Bentley Flying Spur V8 (Onyx) with ticket number 0887 of the Finest Surprise Series 1806 purchased online on May 18.

He is also a regular participant in the Dubai Duty Free Promotion from 2020 and has purchased three tickets on the Askori 1806 Serial Numbers. Askori, who will soon be the father of two children, works as a senior sales manager at a private company in the Dubai Airport Free Zone.

Ehsan Nasir, a Pakistani from the United Arab Emirates, won the BMW F 900 XR (Black Storm Metallic) motorbike with ticket number 0133 for the Finest Surprise Series 499 series purchased online on May 11.
