Volodymyr Zelensky Willing to meet with Vladimir Putin to end the war

Addressing the World Economic Forum, Ukrainian President Zelensky said he was ready to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the ongoing war.

At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday and announced his readiness to end the devastating war, according to media reports.

Putin is the only Russian official he thinks will meet to find a way to end the conflict, Zelensky said while addressing via video link.

“There seems to be a lot of evidence of military invasions of civilians in Russian-occupied territories, and it seems difficult to negotiate with Russia,” he said.

“The president of the Russian Federation decides everything. Without him, if we talk about ending this war, it will be of no use,” Zelensky said through a translator.

“I do not accept that anyone from the Russian Federation can meet anyone other than the president. The only issue at present is war. Only talks about stopping the war will take place. There are no other reasons,” he said.

Zelensky said the war had killed large numbers of Ukrainians. The country’s forces were advancing near Kharkiv. But the situation is worse in Donbass, where we are losing a lot of people, ”he said.
