Taipei : 21 Chinese fighter jets entered Taiwan’s airspace during a visit by US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
More than 20 Chinese military aircraft flew into Taiwan’s air defense zone on Tuesday as US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan, which China considers its territory.
“21 PLA aircraft … entered Taiwan’s southwest ADIZ on August 2, 2022,” Taiwan’s Defense Ministry said in a statement on Twitter, referring to Taiwan’s Air Defense Identification Zone.
US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi landed in Taiwan on Tuesday evening, defying a string of increasingly blunt warnings and threats from China. In this case, tensions have increased between the two superpowers of the world.
